The Wolf's True Name is the sixth and final episode of The Wingfeather Saga's third season. It premiered on December 10th, 2025 in the Angel Guild.

Synopsis[]

Struggling to fulfill his most challenging task as the Throne Warden yet, Janner and his family try to aid Kalmar. All the way back in Dugtown, the time to fight looms nearer and Sara must prepare.

Plot[]

The Kimerans, with their weapons drawn, prepare to strike Kalmar in spite of the Wingfeathers' pleas. Kalmar tries to escape and Janner goes after him, and eventually follows his brother overboard and grabs hold of him, getting injured by Kalmar's claws in the process, and he passes out just as Artham comes to the rescue.

Meanwhile in the Fork! Factory!, Sara and the other children make preparations for their rebellion but are caught by Wallis and Jangler. To everyone's surprise, both maintenance managers say they want to help. Janner wakes up in bandages, and not far from him lies Kalmar in chains. Artham checks on them and tries to help Kalmar remember who he is but to no avail. Throughout the voyage, the family try to help Kalmar remember, but he remains indignant.

The time has come for Sara and her army's rebellion. All at once, they stop working and take up arms, rebelling against the maintenance managers and the Overseer, as well as a handful of Fangs. Outside however, they find more Fangs than they can handle. The Florid Sword arrives, along with his new sidekick Shadowblade, and they assist the children in fighting the Fangs. Through all the commotion, the Overseer and Mobrik capture Sara and attempt to lock her up for good, but Sara fights back and is soon aided by Shadowblade and the Florid Sword, and they manage to seal the Overseer and Mobrik within the box. They return outside, and Sara learns that Janner is alright as well as his true identity. The children all cheer when they learn of the Overseer's fate, and they proclaim Sara as their queen.

Janner recounts past events to Kalmar, and soon Kalmar begins to cry. The following day, when the others visit the boys, Nia asks Kalmar his name. His eyes now blue, he declares that he is Kalmar, son of Esben and Nia, High King of Anniera.

In a post-credits scene, the Green Hollows appears, and deep within a forest, a bear-like beast scares away a group of creatures.
