Synopsis[]
Janner arrives in Kimera, wounded, but ready to try unlocking Leeli’s magical songs in order to find Kalmar. Meanwhile in the Phoobs, Artham is given a choice by the Stonekeeper to transform in order to save the children from her clutches.
Plot[]
Kalmar has a nightmare of when he returned to the Strander camp. After Claxton takes back his pone, a Grey Fang shows up and attacks him, and Kalmar wakes in a panic. In Kimera, Nia goes outside, hoping against hope that Kalmar would turn up. Podo joins and comforts her, and they make a decision to ask for Gammon's help in finding Kalmar. Leeli visits Janner, and they discuss the moment her song had connected them during Janner's time in the Fork! Factory!, and they wonder if they could do it again with the help of Oskar.
The Stone Keeper informs Artham that they had retrieved a firehawk to complete his transformation, and the Stone Keeper repeating her promise to Artham, he agrees to sing the song. Maraly finds Gammon training, and he challenges her to a duel. They are interrupted by Nia and Podo who ask Gammon to help them find Kalmar. Gammon is reluctant however, viewing it as a lost cause, but he agrees to figure out where else the Black Carriage goes. Janner and Leeli find Oskar, and he tells them about how magic was largely involved in day-to-day life in the past.
At the Fork! Factory!, Sara is caught by Wallis while smuggling weapons to the bunk room, but rather than alerting the other maintenance manager, he tells her to be careful. Janner, Leeli and Oskar unsuccessfully try to connect to Kalmar until Nia finds them and discourages them from trying to force the magic to work but rather serve it. Kalmar spirals as he hears the voices of the Stone Keeper and his family. He is at last convinced that he should sing the song of stones. Leeli plays another song, and Janner finally sees Kalmar. He tells the others and they go to inform Gammon. After figuring out where he could be, they make a plan to go rescue him.
Artham is taken to sing the song of stones, however, he realises the Stone Keeper has brought several children, including Kalmar, and he panics. The Stone Keeper tells him until he sings the song, each child will be led into the chamber. Kalmar is the first to enter, and he begins singing the song. Artham sees Esben begging him to protect the children, and Artham joins in the song. The transformation gives him new strength and a pair of wings, and he tears open the chamber, but gasps when he finds what's inside. Janner is woken up by Errol and Brogman and is immediately taken to his family, who including Oskar and Maraly have all been gagged and bound, and he learns that Gammon has betrayed them, intending to turn them over to the Fangs.

- Slarb, the main antagonist of Season 1, makes a brief cameo during Kalmar’s flashback sequences. He was shown holding Kalmar hostage as depicted in Fruit for Zouzab, purely from the latter’s point-of-view.
