The Ballad of Lanric and Rube is a ballad set in the world of Aerwiar from the book Wingfeather Tales. It was written by Jonathan Rogers and illustrated by Justin Gerard.
It follows Lanric Adoob and Rube Rumley-A'Catos in their attempts to see who is a better suitor for Illia.

• The ballad was first sung in On the Edge of the Dark Sea of Darkness by Armulyn the Bard.[2] It was also played by a lutist in Shaggy's Tavern in The Wingfeather Saga animated series.[3]
