The Sunken Mountains is a mountain range in the southern Dark Sea of Darkness. It was the kingdom of the dragons from the First Epoch to the end of the Fourth Epoch. When the dragons still flew, the mountains were not submerged.
History[]
First Epoch[]
Ouster Will slew the son of Yurgen, king of the dragons, and claimed that it was accidental and that his son could be healed using the Ancient Stones. Yurgen and the other dragons dug beofre eventually finding two Ancient Stones: the Holoré and Holoél. The digging caused the separation of Anniera from Dang, the displacement of the First Well, the sinking of the dragon kingdom, and forcing the land-dwelling dragons to become sea dragons.
Third Epoch[]
In the Third Epoch, a song known as "The Legend of the Sunken Mountains" was published in Eezak Fencher's A Comprehensive History of Sad, Sad Songs.
Fourth Epoch[]
At the end of the Wingfeather War in the Fourth Epoch, the dragons' wings were restored with water from the First Well, causing the dragons to move out of the Sunken Mountains.
