Podo came to Shaggy's tavern to hear any news of what has been happening in the world, and Shaggy told him he heard of ships with black sails sailing into the Phoob Islands and Trolls on the move in the Linnard Woodlands.

Shaggy was among the Glipfolk standing outside of Books and Crannies. When the Glipfolk were preparing to evacuate the Glipwood Township, Shaggy refused to leave.
