Nugget was the first pet of Leeli Wingfeather. He was a stray living on the streets of Glipwood, until he was found by Leeli, where she took him home and loved him. One day he bit a Fang’s leg which led to it thrusting a spear to his side. He was then saved when Peet the Sock Man used the water from the First Well. He was given too much water, and grew to to the size of a horse. Artham rode Nugget into battle against the fangs. Nugget journeyed with the Wingfeathers until Miller's Bridge, where Nugget sacrificed himself to get the Wingfeathers across, where the sea dragons took his body and buried him.
