  • The Wingfeather Saga Read-along has completed and will not restart until september I believe. Because of this, it is probably unnecessary to keep the section on the front page.

  • I have created this "No Image Available" placeholder.
    No Image Available
    What do you think?
      Loading editor
    • I think that it looks quite nice; however, I'm not sure if we need it.  If we don't have an image in the infobox it doesn't have a blank spot that says "No Image"; it just skips the image section and doesn't look bad at all, so I'm not sure if we need to use it.

  • Because the Florid Sword is just a role play, I think that we should change the name of the Florid Sword Article to Gammon. What do you think?

  • Do you think that it would be a good idea to add minor and main character categories? I think that it would also be good to have a "Characters that do not Appear" category.

      Loading editor
    • I think it would be hard to decide if a character was minor or main, and I'm also not sure a "Characters that do not Appear" category would be a good idea, either.

        Loading editor
    • I thought that the "Characters that do not Appear" category would be good because there are some articles with characters that are only mentioned once or twice(Izikk the Slapped, Helba Grounce-Miglatobe, etc.) that are considered stubs but there is not enough information in the entire series to write a full article. The "Characters that do Not Appear" category could give a reason that the article is short but not a stub.

  • I created a clickable map template that you can find here: https://wingfeathersaga.fandom.com/wiki/Template:Map and I thought that it would work well on the front page.

    • It's a great idea, but I think it'd need a little work (I think only three things have links right now).

        Loading editor
    • Never mind, there are quite a few more links than I thought.  It's been a while since I did one of these, so we'll see how it goes, but I'd like to add the Dark Sea of Darkness, Dang, and Skree (the last two around where the name is on the map).

    • I haven't added all of the links yet, but I am working on it. It's quite dificult to get the coordinates right, especially for the polygons.

  • I was wondering why this wiki doesn't have a discussions page.

      Loading editor
    • That's because it's an older wiki, so it has a Forum instead.  There's also the Community Portal, but I don't think anyone has been using any of those things.

I'm pretty sure soon all wikis will change to a discussions platform, though.

  • I remember that there was talk of removing the residence label in the infobox because there are often many residences that are not currently in use. I was considering the idea of a residence timeline. It could be a list of every residence that notes the current one beneath the Biography section. If the character is deceased, than the current residence should be the place of death or the site of burial.

I was also considering the use of a staus label in the infobox that would note whether the character is alive or deceased. I was also wondering about a guild label that tells which guild the character is in Hollish School. This is not applicable to most characters, but I htink it could still be useful.

    What do you think?

      Loading editor
    • I do think there could be a "status" label in the infobox, and also a residence timeline.  I'm not sure about the guild label, but for those in a Hollish School that's a possibility.

        Loading editor
    • I would be okay with the residence timeline, but I do not think that a status label would be a good idea. This wiki needs to not be contstrained to one point in the Wingfeather Saga timeline. In other words, all information needs to be relevant at any point in Aerwiar history. (Namely, the end)

This is also part of the reason why I think that we should not have the alive/deceased categories.

        Loading editor
    • I do think the alive/deceased categories might be unecessary, but I thought the status label could be okay.  However, I do see your point that a status label for one point in time could be tricky, so if you want to remove them you can.

  • On the front page the Live Storytime with Andrew Peterson links only to the facebook page, but in my experience the YouTube page works better with less glitches. I think that the link to the Wingfeather Saga YouTube channel should also be linked.

  • I think that we should replace the images  in the infoboxes of certain characters with the new art from the hardcover editions from the art from the short film. I say this not to insult the filmmakers, of course(they did a brilliant job), but because of the nature of cgi and filmmaking, the art was not entirely acurate. The art in the new books, though, is very accurate. What do you think?

      Loading editor
    • Oh, and I already uploaded the new art for Janner, Kalmar, and Leeli.

        Loading editor
    • I don't have the new hardback editions yet, but those illustrations do look a lot more accurate (although they're in black-and-white).  I think it'd be fine to put those in the character infobox and put the current one from the animated short film in a "gallery" section.

  • Do you think that a appearances section should be addes to characters to show which books they appear in?

      Loading editor
    • That's an idea I've thought about before.  Since there aren't that many books, we could simply do a "First Appearance" part of the Character template.  However, there are all the Wingfeather Tales, and I do hope that Mr. Peterson writes more books about the Wingfeathers (although he won't continue the saga).  Ultimately, I had decided to leave it out, but you could put it in for the characters that have shown up in more than one or two books.
