The Florid Sword was a mysterious swashbuckler and Fang-fighter.

Later in the series, we discover that this mysterious man was in fact Gammon, a defiant leader of a rebellion in the Ice Prairies.

He adopts Maraly Weaver and she becomes Shadowblade, another feared defender of the streets of Dugtown.
