The Blackwood is a dense forest in Dang that is east of the Green Hollows and north of the Killridge Mountains. Located in the heart of the Blackwood is Clovenfast, and an entrance into Castle Throg. Sentient species that inhabit the forest include cloven, ridgerunners, and temporarily Fangs. Artham Wingfeather spent many days after the melding in Throg in the Blackwood. There he found the First Well, but refused to drink it, saving it all for his brother Esben.
