A Mysterious Map is the second episode of season one of The Wingfeather Saga. It was released on December 16, 2022.
Synopsis[]
Freed from lockdown, the Igiby kids play a game of Zibzy and discover a secret map.
Plot[]
A murder of crows arrives in Glipwood delivering orders to Commander Gnorm. The Igiby children, having been forced to stay home for two weeks, grow restless. It affects Podo to the point that he convinces Nia to let him take the children into town at least for a game of zibzy. Podo takes the children to a spot just outside of town near the forest where their friends are waiting for them, and they begin their game.
Podo visits Ferinia's Flower Shop and learns from Ferinia that Slarb had been reassigned to Black Carriage duty, assuring Podo that they no longer have to worry. During zibzy, Tink accidentally tosses Sara's new ball into the woods, and Janner goes to retrieve it. He runs into Peet the Sock Man, who protects him from an angry thwapperfly and helps bring the ball back to the others. Podo arrives and takes the children home and relays what he learned from Ferinia to the rest of the family. The following day, Janner and Tink go to Books and Crannies, the former helping Oskar unload a new shipment of books. Tink discovers a hidden map and holds onto it, and Oskar mistakes him for looking for books to help cure a rash.
During dinner, Podo gives Leeli a new crutch and Janner teases Tink about the rash and also discovers Tink still has the map. Later that night, the boys investigate the map and deduce that it is either a treasure map or a hideout for Fang Fighters. In Torrboro, General Khrak is visited by the Stone Keeper who informs him of Gnag's plans.
